Strategy Overview

Beartic has very high Attack that can be boosted via Swords Dance and it can fulfill the role of a sweeper under rain or hail. Despite this, it has a bad defensive typing and only average bulk. Its worst negative, however, is its Speed. Beartic is very slow, and even under hail or rain, Choice Scarf users like Primeape, Kabutops, Swanna, and Jynx outspeed and proceed to revenge kill it. As a rain sweeper, it is outclassed by Kabutops, and as a hail sweeper, by Alolan Sandslash. Both of these Pokemon boast a secondary STAB typing, aren't weak to Stealth Rock, and actually outspeed the aforementioned Choice Scarf users under weather.
