Dialga

Dialga is a sturdy cannon in the VGC 2022 metagame, able to check common Restricted Pokemon like Kyogre, Calyrex-I, and Zacian-C. It is a great Dynamax Pokemon on hyper offense, as it can stack up defensive boosts via Max Steelspike and Max Quake for itself and its partners like Zacian-C and 2HKO or even OHKO nearly the whole metagame. Focus Sash Grimmsnarl is ideal support for Dialga, as it can utilize Fake Out, Fake Tears, and Scary Face to make Dialga effectively impossible to handle without taking serious damage across the entire team. This sets up its most common Restricted Pokemon partner in Zacian-C to clean through opposing teams which are on their last legs. Unfortunately, Dialga can struggle against some sun teams which contain threats like Groudon and Charizard, so Kyogre and Landorus-T also make for good partners.
