Strategy Overview

In a tier lacking entry hazard removal options, Fletchinder shines as the premier Defogger, preventing teams from being weak to hazards. Fletchinder also provides a very rare Ground immunity, preventing one of the biggest threats of the tier in Choice Band Piloswine from spamming Ground-type moves. Fletchinder's great Speed and defensive typing allow it to check common physical threats such as Raboot and Thwackey and punish them with Flame Body. Fletchinder is best used on balance teams that want a good way of dealing with hazard stack teams and don't want to be blocked from removing hazards by Ghost-types. However, Fletchinder relies on Heavy-Duty Boots in order to remove Stealth Rock; thus, it needs teammates such as Koffing and Dunsparce able to come on Knock Off for it.
