Strategy Overview

Poison

Clodsire has a lot of tools going for it on Poison such as Stealth Rock, Unaware or Water Absorb, and the best special bulk of any viable Poison-type, making it the perfect counter to Flutter Mane, Hydreigon, or Walking Wake, depending on the chosen ability. However, Alolan Muk and Galarian Slowking offer more in terms of a special wall, with Alolan Muk offering an immunity to Psychic and a resistance to Ghost, while Galarian Slowking is a Regenerator wall that can take on Latios and has a flurry of coverage options that may make them more appealing to the reader.
