Roserade

Roserade is a potent entry hazard setter in the tier due to Spikes and the ability to punish switch-ins such as Salamence, Aegislash, and Jirachi with Sleep Powder. Its solid STAB moves in Leaf Storm and Sludge Bomb allow it to hit a plethora of staples such as Rhyperior, Primarina, and Tangrowth super effectively while also threatening others with Sludge Bomb poisons. Its typing lets Roserade check key Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Primarina, and Amoonguss. Roserade's Defense and Speed leave much to be desired, though, making it easy to revenge kill by many offensive Pokemon such as Krookodile, Lycanroc-D, and Salamence. It is also unable to touch Steel-types such as Celesteela, Jirachi, and Aegislash, barring Sleep Powder. Roserade faces competition with other Grass-types such as Amoonguss and Tangrowth, which offer better defensive utility against threats like Keldeo, Azumarill, and Krookodile but lack Spikes and are passive, and offense threats like Zarude, Nihilego, and Nidoking, which are more threatening due to better coverage and Speed.
