Strategy Overview

Feraligatr is one of the metagame's most potent sweepers. Sheer Force and Dragon Dance combined make Feraligatr extremely powerful, it has good coverage in Crunch and Ice-type attacks to hit almost the entire metagame at least neutrally, and its decent bulk and typing allow it to set up in most games. These traits make Feraligatr consistently threatening, as it is often extremely dangerous to offensive teams while still taking a decent chunk out of many defensive builds. However, Feraligatr's Speed tier is somewhat disappointing, as it loses to Choice Scarf users, especially dedicated revenge killers such as Latias and Rotom formes. Additionally, certain physical walls can deal with Feraligatr, such as Celebi and Rotom-W.
