Despite Carbink's good bulk, it is heavily outclassed by Cofagrigus, which has a greater utility movepool with Toxic Spikes and Will-O-Wisp and better offenses to circumvent its passivity. Carbink's multiple defensive weaknesses cause it to have a harder time setting up than one might expect, and it is too passive to threaten foes that are resistant or immune to Body Press such as Qwilfish and Galarian Rapidash.
