Behold, the biggest tiering nightmare in Smogon history. Gothitelle used to be a valuable Pokemon in OU until Shadow Tag got banned. However, because this happened after the tiers were locked, Gothitelle got stuck into a existential limbo in the OU metagame, as it doesn't have its niche as a trapper anymore. Because of its typing, movepool, and awful stats, Gothitelle is easily outclassed by other Psychic-types like Latios, Alakazam, and Reuniclus.
